Meet Joy - The Heart and Soul of Our Flower Truck Dream

Say hello to Joy—our charming 1962 Volkswagen Transporter and the star of the show here at Goldie’s Flower Truck.

Before she was turning heads in our sweet little town, Joy spent her early years working hard on a farm in Indiana. She’s no stranger to dirt roads, fresh air, and a little elbow grease. Eventually, she made her way to a loving family in Missouri who carefully and lovingly restored her, bringing her back to life with fresh paint, vintage charm, and all the personality you see today.

Her previous owners affectionately called her The Joy Maker—and it’s easy to see why. Everywhere she goes, people smile. Strangers become friends. Photos are snapped. Hearts feel lighter. She simply has that effect on people.

When we heard her story, we knew that name had to stay with her. So we gave her a new chapter in her journey and officially named her Joy—because that’s exactly what she brings to every event, market, and moment she’s part of.

From her vintage curves to her flower-filled bed, Joy is more than a truck—she’s a mood, a memory-maker, and a little reminder to slow down and enjoy the beauty in front of you.

Our Story

On a family trip to Charleston, South Carolina, we stumbled upon the cutest little flower truck tucked into a farmers market. It was charming, cheerful, and full of life. we lit up, and we all felt something click. That was our “what if…” moment.

Back home in our artsy little town, we realized we didn’t have anything quite like it. We imagined a space where people could pause, pick fresh flowers, take a photo, and feel a little more connected—to beauty, to each other, and to their community. That dream became Goldie’s Flower Truck.

Named after our beloved golden retrievers, Gus and Amos, Goldie is as friendly, fun, and photogenic as her namesakes. (And yes, the dogs do make occasional appearances—so keep an eye out!)

What We Believe
